Diwali Celebrations with Kreamy Kreations
Akshi Govender Kreamy Kreations founder who is well known in KZN for her stunningly beautiful and tasty baked creations, was the guest chef at the latest Hirsch’s Kitchen Capers event that took place in the state of the art Siemens kitchen at Hirsch’s Springfield Park branch. Akshi and her Mum, Shakun Rajbansi gave virtual and Facebook Live guests great ideas on how to put together some delicious family treats for Diwali. The event was hosted virtually by Margaret Hirsch and MC’d by Hirsch’s, Denver Naicker.
Denver gave some background into Diwali celebrations for virtual guests, explaining that it is a celebration of good over evil. “The main celebration is focused around a king and queen who were forced into exile and how after 14 years Rama returned to his people after defeating evil. It is the celebration of light, and how light conquered evil. That is why it is called the Festival of Lights. Commented Margaret “I just love Diwali. I love the food, the colours but most of all I love that it is all about bringing positive energy into your life. ”. Akshi added that Diwali is all about cooking and eating delicious food and sweet treats with family. “We love this time of year. Myself my Mum and my girls all get together and cook in the morning and then it’s off to my Mum-in-law to cook and enjoy spending time with them”.
The event ended off with Akshi, her Mum and Denver giving thanks and wishing all who attended live a blessed Diwali. The next Kitchen Capers event will be held on the 17th of November in the exquisite Bosch show kitchen in Centurion with Chef Lesego Semenya. Click the link below to register.
